You should speak with Doc Faustus, HDC's resident author.
He has contacts with a publisher called Evilnerdempire, they should what you're looking for, to start off with at least. www.evilnerdempire.com

Thanks. We've already been in touch. Other good horror presses that I know of include Cargo Cult, Delirium, Bloodletting... but since you're looking to do cover art, you might want to start by looking into magazines seeking art submissions. For the biggest list of genre magazines is at www.ralan.com.
