The Christmas music is now playing on the radio nonstop. Too many Xmas commercials and too much Xmas music make Kemal go crazy.

This is my favorite song,i heard it a couple years ago and loved it since.

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Did you know
That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that youve delivered
Will soon deliver you

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Did you know
That your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know
That your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little boy
Youve kissed the face of god

Mary, did you know?
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
And the dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of the lamb

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy is lord of all creation?
Did you know
That your baby boy will one day rules the nations?
Did you know
That your baby boy is heavens perfect lamb?
This sleeping child youre holding
Is the great I am

Charly Lownoise - This Christmas

Step into my dreams this Christmas and leave your cares behind and tell me
Your dreams, your wish and I will give you
All the love to make it come true
And one day when the snow is falling, we will ride that sleigh together
And jingle bells will fill the air
It's Christmas time, it's everywhere, this Christmas
This Christmas!

Step into my dreams this Christmas and keep me warm with tender kisses
Hold me tight and let me know
If you’d like to do it in the snow, oh
Together we will glow forever
The moon is bright, it's now or never
Stay with me and share the night.
I want to wake up with you side by side this Christmas
This Christmas!

I'mma be an asshole (You, Heather? No...!) You do know where Christmas comes from, right? It wasn't the birth of that Jesus kat. No one celebrated that until the 6th centure C.E. See, the people of Northern Europe, on the 21and 22 would celebrate the rebirth of the sun so the "good" Christian missionaries decided to make it into their holiday in order to drive the indigenous religions further from the minds and hearts of the people.

(Note: History claims that Jesus was probably born between the months of March and July)

So, the folks, Neopagans of today, who are in the vast minority, of course, in order to have some solstice songs, which have been last to us (Thanks, guys. You're super.) They've stolen Christmas carols and turned them Pagan.

Of course, as the music of this time goes, they still suck...righteously. Also, these carols presume that you follow the Goddess and God, which, being a henotheist, I tend to focus more on The Goddess as the supreme.

Silent Night

Silent night, Solstice night..All is calm all is bright..Nature slumbers in forest and glen..Till the springtime She awakens again..Sleeping spirits grow strong! Sleeping spirits grow strong!

Silent night, Solstice night..Silver moon shining bright..Snowfall blankets the slumbering Earth...Yule fires welcome the suns rebirth..Hark, the light is reborn! Hark the light is reborn!

Silent night, Soltice night..Quiet rest till the light.. Turning evre the rolling wheel..Brings the winter to comfort and heal.. Rest your spirit in peace! Rest your spirit in peace!

Ye children all of Mother Earth

(TUNE; It came upon a midnight clear)

Ye children all of Mother Earth-Join hands and circle around-To celebrate this Solstice night-When our lost Lord is found.--Rejoice, the year has begun again-The sun blesses skies up above-So share the season together now-In everlasting Love!

Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland

Pagans sing, are you listenin'..Alters set, candles glistenin', It's a magickal night, were having tonight..Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland..

Blades held high, censor smoking, God and Goddess, we're invoking, Through elements five, we celebrate life,..Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland.

Triple Goddess, she is in her place, Was the maiden, now the crone face..Above and below, She's the Goddess we know,..Dancing in Pagan Wonderland.

Now the God, he is the provider, Supplying game for our fire, Above and below, He's the horned one we know,..Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland.

In a circle we can burn a Yule fire, And await the rising of the sun, It's the great wheel turning for the new year,..Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland.

Late on by the fire, Cone of power, gettin' higher, It's a magickal night; we're having tonight,..Dancing in a Pagan Wonderland

Oh Solstice Tree

Oh solstice tree, oh solstice tree,..You're telling us it's winter....Oh solstice tree , oh solstice tree,You bring us so much pleasure.

Your branches green will be in spring, A home to birds who spread there wings,..Oh soltice tree, oh solstice tree, You're telling us it's winter.

We Wish You A Cheery Solstice

We wish you a cheery solstice (3x)...And a happy new year.

Good tidings we bring, to you and your kin,.. Good tidings we bring you a happy new year.

Now bring us some figgy pudding (3x),...And bring it right here. We wont go until we get some (3x),...So bring some right here.

Oh, Come, All Ye Faithfull

Oh, come all ye faithfull, Gather round the Yule Fire, Oh, come ye, oh, come ye, To call the Sun! Fires within us, Call the fires above us...O, come, let us invoke Him!(3x)Our Lord, the Sun!..Yea, Lord, we greet thee!..Born again at Yuletide!..Yule fires and candle flames are lighted for you!..Come to your children, We are here to honor you...O, come let us invoke Him (3x)..O, Lord, the Sun!

absolutely. one of my favorite songs ever, and definitely one of the best christmas songs of all time.

another good one, that isn't very christmas-y, is 2000 Miles by the Pretenders. I don't know if anyone mentioned it already b/c as soon as I saw Fairytale of New York, I didn't have the patience to wade through the rest of the thread.
