Kenny Wayne Sheppard - Rock (GREAT Voodoo Child instrumental among other things) Stiff Little Fingers - Rock/Punk Meat Puppets - Grunge Operation Ivy - Punk Royce Da 5'9" - Rap The Zutons - Alt/Rock Wylie Gustafson - Country/Yodeling It all depends on the age and group really, some people I know don't know who Pennywise or Sublime are and others haven't heard Our Lady Peace, The Toadies, or KRS One.

I guess there are a lot of bands I think you should check out, since I'm in australia and most of you aren't,
you wiil probably find them on my space if no where else, whopping Big Naughty - dirty pub rock and a bit catchy, Sounds Like Sunset - swooning shoegazer style pop, live they are distructivley loud Bluebottle kiss - One of the most beutiffull and harsh bands at different times, I have been following these guys for ten years, they're live shows are the best on a consistent level of energy I have ever seen.

I just put on this album, they where my favorite australian band untill they broke up, they sound a bit like shellac and fit in with all the post rock scene.
Ricaine, they are great they existed between 95 - 2002, try and get your hands on their first album, "Regret is an inevitable consequence of life" - Ricaine They will blow you away......
