Web domains are often only leased for a year at a time, and often the owner has registration set to auto-renew. Also, the email address registered is probably the one he used like 12 years ago when first registering the domain, so might not be one he checks anymore. Same with the mailing address.

I agree with Chrono though on the forum creation... There are already a lot of forums, and it seems like there are already appropriate places for self-promotion. I only check like two of the forums on a regular basis. I can't imagine that creating new ones will increase participation.

He would have to shut the forum down and although Horror (his username here) doesn't seems to be hands on with the forum I doubt he'd just let horror.com. The domain name is worth over $1,000.
