A couple of days ago, the WGA settled their longlasting strike. There's a good story on Tinsel Town's collective sigh here at Entertainment Weekly.

Perhaps the most inventive and eclectic group of storytellers to protest unfair payment tactics were the horror writers. We'd like to think that their unusual attention-getting techniques may have had at least a little something to do with the arm-twisting that finally succeeded. Perhaps the most devilishly delighful stunt was the now-infamous Warner Bros. "Excorcism" - in case you missed it, our report was published here.

Pictured: screenwriter David J. Schow (who, incidentally, is one of the few holdouts who did not agree to sign on for the new deal - that Schow... such a renegade! Schow's credits include The Crow, Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, and Masters of Horror Seasons 1 and 2)
