Hey you....do you eat?

Well, If youre reading this, I assume you do eat.

Now, if you aint into seafood, or well, fish in particular...you might as well stop reading now.

I just thought I'd let you guys in the US know about something I've only just heard about on the news, just about certain trade between our countries n shit.
Ok, so according to the program I saw, you guys in the US have a lot of your distributors of fresh fish between Boston and NY... Apparently, one of the larger of these distributors is gonna inport some live fish from Australia to start farming and selling to the US market.

Big fucking deal right?
The reason I'm telling you this is because it is WITHOUT DOUBT our best type of fish, and my personal favourite.
It's called Barramundi (I think it's actually an aboriginal name), and apparently you'll be able to find it in your markets n stuff within a month or two, they may change the name overseas..I'll keep ya posted.
Trust me on this - you'll know why I took the effort to tell you about it once you've tried it.

BEST. FISH. EVER.

Fresh Crab is excellent (I hate to say this yet again) ESPECIALLY here.
What kind do you have over there? We have both Mudcrabs (freshwater crabs which are these huge more-than-football sized brown coloured fuckers), and quiet a few saltwater varieties, a popular one is the blue swimmer crab, do you guys get them?

Here's one thing that you'll probably only get to try if you take a holiday here...they are an excellent shellfish called the Moreton-Bay (or balmain) Bug. Two varieties of pretty much the same thing that as far as I know you can't get anywhere else.
No, they are not an actual bug...
They definately beat both lobsters and crabs in terms of taste... hands down...
Here's some info I found, and some good news

www.australianseafoodexporters.com.au/bugs.htm

I didn't know this before, but the site said they're actually available for export (hence the site name)...so yeah, some time if you ever have a bbq and have a few bucks to spare, I garauntee they'd be excellent.
The moreton bay variety are a little nicer, but if you're going for bulk, the balmain variety are almost twice as large.
Kinda ugly lil bastards - very tasty tho.
