Who is the best horror movie composer?
I think it is Jerry Goldsmith.

He is genius.

The Omen's music is terrific in particular.

The most distinctive and consistent is definitely John Carpenter (as you say in the other thread WF). As a kid I always found the tribal drumming chase sequence music in Scooby Doo unsettling (this isn't a joke!:))
