Deadite Press
Like Chris Morey, who has set up a thread for Dark Regions, I thought I'd set up a thread to tell you about some other cool underground horror, stuff really not for the squeamish. As some of you may know, Eraserhead Press is the biggest press publishing Bizarro fiction. They have published some of my stories, including one in the Bizarro Starter Kit: Purple and are publishing my upcoming book Jimmy Plush, Teddy Bear Detective. Eraserhead also has a horror imprint to reprint work by cult horror writers whose books were rare and costly, new work by those authors and work by authors that might really surprise you. My friend, colleague and editor Jeff Burk is making Deadite a force to be reckoned with, with three releases this holiday season that I think you guys will enjoy. I could promote particular Bizarro and small press horror books left and right here, but I only tell you about the ones that I know you'll have a great time with. First up is Haunter of the Threshold by hardcore horror legend Edward Lee, the man behind Header. As well as being a master of hardcore gore, he's also a Lovecraft aficionado and one of the cooler Lovecraftian writers out there. He takes Lovecraft to pornographic and unsettling excesses, like Stewart Gordon times ten.
http://deaditepress.com/2010/12/08/t...by-edward-lee/ Second is The Book of a Thousand Sins by Wrath James White. I was lucky enough to read this before the reprint and now you'll have the privilege. This is a book that asks pitchblack questions about our values, about religion, sexuality and humanity. The stories in here are mindblowing and will take you to places as unflinching as the worlds presented by Books of Blood era Clive Barker and even moreso. http://deaditepress.com/2010/10/31/t...h-james-white/ Also available is his book Population Zero, which I have not read but definitely plan to. Third, but not least is a book by...the lead singer of GWAR! Bet you didn't see that one coming. Dave Brockie, known to fans of the band as Oderus Urungus takes you into the realm of Whargoul, the incarnation of bloodshed and the folly of war that he sang about in the song of the same name. If you know a GWAR fan or are a GWAR fan, this is a must. And an exciting opportunity for Deadite and by extension Eraserhead Press. http://deaditepress.com/2010/12/11/w...-dave-brockie/ I predict Deadite is going to kick some real ass in the horror community and some of you are really gonna get into this stuff.

Deadite puts out some killer stuff. Edward Lee and Wrath James White are two of my favorite horror authors.
