Sonic 4

Hey, just wondering if anyone's going to get this?
I'm quite looking forward to it actually...I was apprehensive at first after being let down so much by the series as a whole since the 3d versions, the spin-offs, almost everything about it, I haven't liked.
I even TRIED to get into the sonic adventure games, just did not work for me.
I THOUGHT sonic unleashed looked like a bit of a throw back to the older style sonics that I actually enjoyed...but nope, not enough...and it didn't really play that well in my opinion.
The handhelds drummed out a couple that were IMO a little bit better...but still, I have not actually gotten into them...
So Sonic 4. Back to oldskool, but shinier and a little faster.
Coming out in episodes apparently?
Now this one looks as though it *might* suffer from the "remake" levels that are included in the game, but all in all honesty I'm still thinking it'll be an enjoyable play through for new and old alike. That and, the bosses that are "repeats" all look as though they've been changed anyways...and of course, there's the new stuff, the actual "4" stuff as well, just like new levels, of old Sonic.

By xbox points it's 1200, which is probably $20-25...I remember paying $80 for Sonic 3, so I can deal with this.

Its games like this that make me long for a current-gen console.

Is it wrong that the only reason I want to upgrade my system is so I can play better old-school games?

Absolutely not. They abandoned many a great style of gaming left in the 2d world...I miss the 16 bit era greatly, I also missed the styles of games they just stopped making.
