SLW, I believe that 'The Phantom' is a worldwide comic hero favorite. The U.S. just never got it like everyone else apparently does. I actually liked (and own) a copy of the Billy Zane flick from the 80's(?).
I also understand that the purple suit was a mistake of the printer's. It was supposed to be gray. |

Yeah, I see what you mean -- however, I was comparing the character more to Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, etc. He's really not mainstream. As for the purple suit: interesting tidbit of info: thanks!
