Help with simple math
I assume it's simple anyways.
I hated math, always did...wasn't bad at algebra though I didn't see much sense in it...so never really committed anything much beyond simple addition and subtraction to memory, certain that if a job involved math on regular occasion, it was not for me. So I have a question. The total amount of something is 63.11 I need to work out what percentage the number 12.02 is out of 63.11 If someone could hook me up with that answer that'd be good. Also, if you feel like attempting to explain how the basic operation goes, I will attempt to absorb but don't feel bad if it doesn't stick;) Thanks in advance for any help.

How precise of an answer do you need? Because right off the bat I can tell you it's around 19%.
10% of 63.11 is 6.311. Twice that (20%) would be 12.622- so, roughly 19%. |

Thanks from me too NE. I always loved math, but I only need geometry where I work so I forget other equations all the time. I'll have to add math.com to my fav's.

Thanks, Neverending, for that handy site. I'm currently taking a math course right now, and it's making me twitchy. I can handle just about anything but math.
Hey, in England and the rest of the UK, don't you call it maths? My ex boyfriend did, and he was from Sheffield.

Never liked Math either. Actually, I loathed it.
