Interests other than horror
I know this topica has already been done, but I figured instead of dragging up an old topic (around 12/12/03) I'd just make a new one.
I read through it, and it was riddled with people that don't even really post here anymore, and many of the new members haven't even posted in it. Annnyywaayy.... List your interests. Other than horror. Mine are... volunteering (wild animal refuge and special olympics), drawing, music, eating, food, cooking, desserts, sandwiches, gf, uhhh... sunday-thursday from about 10 PM - 2 AM watching cartoon network, DDR, other video games, reading, animals (mainly dogs and other furry animals) driving, sewing, crocheting, other girly stuff, other movie genres, blah blah blah... uhh.. that's about it. Used to be into flying, dirtbiking, and computers, but have since moved on from them. Thank God/gf.

I think there SHOULD be no problem revisiting a good "topica"...
I will soon be doing volunteer work for the NSW australian rural fire brigade/emergency service, I decided to do that after seeing how cool and helpful these guys n gals are after a major storm incident we had a year back. I like reading. No favourite author, mosty likely because everything I read, unless in a series, is usually by a different author. Genres I'm into are "the obvious", sci-fi n fantasy/adventure kinda shit. I also read "national geographic" as much as I can. Animals....a few opinions DOGS rock - I tend to find that many of them have a better personality than the vast majority of humans. CATS, however...I have owned, but have really just began to dislike as pets recently. The majority of the affection they show is when they want something, well, god already made women, huh? (j/k -B) I just don't think I could ever refer to a cat as a "companion". And housecats (I live in an apartment, so they gotta be) just stink, straight up - their piss smells like fucking ammonia. As for the rest of the general household pets, fish, rabbits, mice, spiders, hermit crabs...etc...I am indifferent to, but would most likely not buy as a pet due to lack of interest. Rats are great, I think they are about the most versatile and easy to care for pets. That and they're smart...and, yknow, sometimes they have pretty wicked fights... I also used to be into reading comics, mostly marvel stuff - stopped about a year ago, would like to maybe get back into reading them soon. Storms - Love 'em, the wilder the better, I honestly think the storm is natures coolest condition. reccomendation - DO NOT storm surf...in my experience, you can break both your ride and your leg that way....great fun tho, apart from the breaking of board and body.... Myself and my brother have begun to collaboratively write, which we both have an interest in - I might post up our first piece when it's eventually done.... pc games, oldskool games...love 'em both. I also love cooking, and I'm (without and big-headedness or exaggeration) pretty much the best cook I know. Spent 2 years working under a chef, pretty much being in charge of 6 guys in a kitchen in an al dente/cafe type setup, and, yknow, learnt a lot from that. I really reccomend learning how to cook - The chicks dig it...and trust me on this, you save a shitload of money when you know your stuff. My specialties - Pecan pie, ANY kinda pasta, and thai curries. Watching sports, well, not really, but I watch out for the parts where people get hurt... Movies - who doesn't like 'em??? Fav genres - "the obvious", thriller, comedy (but very few). My girl and I share alotta the same interests, so, I can pretty much put down "hanging with her" as an "interest"...among things I aint gonna bother mentioning here... I'm done. next?

I like reading, and I don't really have a favorite genre. Right now, for instance, I'm reading The Godfather.
I'm a writer, currently working on editing. Mainly, I'm a poet, but I have a ghost story that I'm working on. I haven't worked with it lately, because I am a total procrastinator. I love music of many types, but my favorites are jazz, the blues, and classical. I'm a witch so studing my Craft and what not are huge intrests for me. For instance, I read tarot cards, so I love collecting and studying about them. I on and off study astrology. My favorite is studying magic itself. I love my pets: Saydee- Springer/Setter mix She's my puppy. I love her. Liza- Black cat She's my baby. Liza curls up with me at night. Irish- Ginger tabby He's the devil. I love my buddy. I'm interested in Irish Celtic Mythology, particularly when it has to do with my Goddess, The Morrigu. She rocks! Relationships? Two words: Hell no! I am not in one. I don't want to be in one. I hope that I am fortunate enough never to be in one again. Nothing but terrible pain and grief.

I like web design, but I'm not good at it, it's just a fun hobby.
I run all the time. Hurdles and 400s mostly. I love the feeling when you are done running, I just feel so healthy and accomplished. It's my one and only kind of exercise. In fact, I just got back from running 2 miles. I like to bake. Alot of the time, I am the first one to get home after school so I'll bake a batch of cookies or brownies for the family. Obviously, watching movies. Writing poetry when I am pissed off or heartbroken. I like animals, mostly dogs and cats. I have an orange tabby named Owen and a Cairn Terrier named Jack. I collect pig stuffed animals and giraffes :)
