Strangeland

Ok; I'm watching it right now and well...I'm really disturbed.

I understand the message of no chatting with strangers then meeting them in person; but did they have to go to that extreme?! I mean, yes there are people like that but for the love of god don't show a boob getting pierced! Though I will admit, Dee Snider is doing a very good job...

Someone said to me when I asked what horror movies I should show my friend so that I could warp him and they said that if he couldn't handle this film he couldn't handle anything...

Shit, I feel sick now

A) What do you guys think of this film and why?
B) Should I show this to a guy that got nausous with Saw 3?

It has a certain gonzo charm and a sense of cheap, throwbacky fun that I think is absent from the Saw series. I don't love Strangeland. I won't be getting any Dee Snider tattoos any time soon, but it's pretty cool and the little horror nods, like the name Captain Howdy and Robert Englund as the local spooky redneck make this not quite status quo. C++-.

Well yeah, I like those references, but then again, does it have to show him piercing people? That's my point =p

i didnt care for it .. found it uninteresting/unengaging.

like Cradle of Fear.

just feels like 'shock rockers' trying to perpetuate the eerie myths of themselves in film.

I saw this when it came out and enjoyed it, good fun nothing groundbreaking but a decent enough distraction.
I started watching Cradle Of Fear but got bored and couldn't be fucked checking out the rest.

I'll be as nice as I can,,

I wrote a mean spirited diatribe that could be construed as an ad hominem attack against anyone who liked this movie; I apologize.

I loved it - its very cheesey and i love the way it takes the piss out of the 'modern primative' scene :-)

Its funny that all Howdys quote are straight outta the Re/Search book on the subject..

Dee Snyder is a talentless creep. He was in a one hit wonder KISS ripoff band in the 80's and them some pure drek solo stuff.
LOL - Why don't you tell us how you really feel.

Never had much time for TS or Snyder til i saw him in court defending freedom of speech on records against the censorship that was being lobbied by the PRMC. He totally OWNED Tipper Gore and embrassed the shit out of here.

He definally got a new fan that day.

Twisted Sister was way better than kiss, and Dee Snyder is a cool guy.

To be honest, I though it was pretty sad. I don’t believe that pure evil exist, everybody is capable of doing awful tings and that there is something in our brain that keeps us from doing those things. If some one is borne without that something………… and if with medication he can control those murderous feeling and to try to live a normal life, why shouldn’t he?

And as far as it being a good horror movie, not so much
