The Mist

Another promising Stephen King adaptation coming to the screens soon...

Three-time Oscar-nominee Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) reunites with horror-master Stephen King to write and direct this chilling adaptation of the author’s original short story.

Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the "The Arrowhead Project" conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group’s overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against an enemy they cannot even see!

Is this going to be great or what? I can hardly wait!

I'm REALLY looking forward to this film. Love the story, and have always thought it could make a great movie. Let's hope they do the story justice.

King adaptations seem to be getting better... first 1408 and now this. I have to admit, I'm anxious to see this one.

This looks great. Darabont made a splendid King film in The Shawshank Redemption, and I trust this won't be any less great than that.

I am DYING for this. I started reading the story, but had to return it to the library before i finished it, but it is listed as a major (if not the major) inspiration Mark Laidlaw used to write the plot to Half-Life.
