Need a little help with a title

I'm trying to remember the name of a movie that was set in Vietnam. I saw it on video in 1995 or 1996. I'm pretty sure it would be in the horror/supernatural genre. I remember it was a bad ass action film about a squad of grunts that get lost or something and have to battle it out with something supernatural? The protagonist is a young black guy who was actually a rising star at the time, a la Cuba Gooding. It might just be an acition film but I think I remember something supernatural about it. I was thinking it might be a "tales from the crypt" episode but I really don't know. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. :confused:
