Tcm 2- ???
I never saw the sequal to the texas chainsaw massacre, but from the clips which ive seen(trailers etc), it looks ABSOLUTELY nothing like something i would expect.
I plan on seeing this one real soon, but before i head out to do that....fill me in...whats the deal? Some people calle dit pure garbage, while others say its their favorite. (i know thats typical, but this is the first time, i seriously have no idea wha to expect). For the record, i didnt find 3 to be THAT bad. It was definitly entertaining on a simple level. 4 was just whatever. but 2 seriously looks weird. |

TCM 2 is the polar opposite of the first. It's a campy, gory, comedic romp through the mythology created by the first film complete with a chainsaw duel.
It is a very wierd film that gets better with repeated viewings. I love it!

I'm not a big fan. At all.
Maybe I need to watch it a few more times. But I thought it was rediculously stupid. And it isn't what you expect, SKOOFx. |

I wrote a review of this awhile back that Im pretty happy with...here it is, if thou art interested:
This film is a lot of fun. It forgoes the gritty realism of the first film for over-the-top gore and comedy, with crazy characters and bizarre situations aplenty. The end result is more like some sort of nightmarish comic book come to life than a slasher flick. Let me start off with the characters. Dennis Hopper is great as usual as Lefty Enright, uncle of Sally and Franklin from the first film. He's completely obsessed with finding the killers responsible for their deaths. He gives a great performance, going from 100% badass near to first of the film to certified lunatic as it near the end. The Sawyer family is even more over-the-top. Leatherface and Drayton (AKA The Cook) return from the first film, crazier than ever, and are joined by brother Choptop, who puts the rest of them to shame in terms of craziness. Bill Moseley plays him superbly, in what is easily one of best and most over-the-top roles. I didn't particularly care for Strech, the heroic late-night radio DJ, but she was well acted and served her purpose. The plot was much better than the majority of slasher movies, but I think it's best to go into it knowing as little as possible. I didn't even read the back of the DVD before I watched it, and I really think that helped my experience. Last but not least, the gore! The first film had almost no on screen gore; it left it up to the viewer's imaginations. This is the polar opposite, throwing buckets of blood and body parts at the audience as often as possible. One of the greatest horror effects gurus, Tom Savini, was behind them, so you know they had to look awesome. All in all, I really enjoyed this film. It's brutal, it's insane, and it's a lot of fun. 8.5/10

TCM 2 is crap.. dont waste 90 minutes of your life for that ... just go and see someone sleep because it would be more interesting, tcm 3 was nice i actually liked it check that out, tcm 4 is a a piece of shit ... its even worst then the second part... ye i know .. how the hell can that be, avoid the forth film at all cost, the remake was an ok movie .... but overall man... if you just watched the original thats enough believe me because the other movies in the series suck
