FEAR ending ***SOILERS!!!!****
Dont read this if you dont want the wole end of the game blown if you havent finished it.
Anyone else finish this? I thought it was an absolute masterpiece. the final scene scared the ever living shit out of me.. I literally sat staring at the scrteen for 3 minutes with my mouth hanging open, frozen. Being assaulted by those godamn lost souls for the whole damn run out of the facility, then scenes with nasty ass naked haggard Alma slowly approaching... ther eis one part if you dont shoot her enough, she touches you and you die, THAT scared the shit out of me, my wife actually came back into our room and said "Are you okay? Whats wrong?" I had to tell her the game just scared the shit out of me. you could tell she sympathized, because she knows how into things i get... But waking up after the blast, circling the mushroom cloud, staring down at all that ruin, taking a few seconds to reflect on the cold sweat that made me smell like old onions (i do that when i sweat from stress, it's awful), then the comment about "I wonder what happened to alma?" Boom, she slips up over the side of the helocopter... Dear god, it was probably the scariest thing i have seen since i saw the ring for the first time. I had that cold terror that you feel when you have a split second where you honestly think you are going to die.... it was beautiful :)

That is one amazing game I ve never forgotten. My hands were shaking at the end...couldnt play another game for 2-3 months after that.
And the nightmares never stopped coming...either...

I just noticed my typo in the title of the thread... haha, how appropriate, eh?
I sdat through the credits, got a beer, peed, took a shower, then fired up the beginning on hard. I LOVE this game. It's interesting, FEAR isnt the unending visceral "HOLY FUCK, IM GONNA DIE!!!" that Doom3 was, but ended up being more scary overall. it think iit was the suspense and that they didnt just hammer you with horror the whole time, so they really made i twork when it was there. the damn flashbacks were incredible. I was amazed at the part where you kill fettel. i finally got close, and was like "Screw this, Im just gonna pop this asshole." and shot him in the face, then he died.... I kinda went "Oh.. Hmm. Well... that didnt go as expected..." Kinda tragic that the chick he had hostage was killed, but i did enjoy offing the catatonic clones..

Easily the best of all games I ve recently played...when compared to Prey, Black or Half Life 2. Beats Doom 3 by plenty of miles.

I htink Half-life 2 was a close second (I hope so, i write for planet halflife :)) but FEAR is definatly the best. The slow mo is incredible...
NOTHING beats blasting a guy with the shotgun in slowmo and watching their two halves flip independantly while the gun they're holding still fires until it lands or runs out of ammo... brilliant.

I enjoyed Black a tad more than HL:2.
I d say Half Life 2 is 3rd in my list...but then there's Far Cry...shit... hmm... - FEAR - Black - Half Life 2 - Far Cry - Prey That d be my top 5 of recent games.

Do they make iot for PC or is it just a console game?
NM, just checked out EA's site. guess ill have to wait until it gets ported to pc, which will no doubt happen soon.
