Just a link about gory films.

There are constantly threads discussing the most sick and gory horror flicks so I thought I'd share IGN's list for those who don't go there. Not a bad top 10 with some interesting mini-reviews.

Neat list,

A few of those are in my netflix queue but I haven't seen most of those.

In Men Behind the Sun and Cannibal Holocaust do they really kill animals? I can handle most gore but Animal Cops makes me want to cry half the time so some stuff I don't really want to see.

I also decided a long time ago I didn't want to see snuff, I've seen the videos of people getting hit by cars, falling, etc that get passed around that made me lose all desire to search out something like that.

Which leads to a question.

Where does everyone draw the line? Is there anything that makes you fast forward or look away or wish you had never seen?

Yes.


Although I don't skip them, the real animal killings make me effing sick. The alligator slaughter in 'Jungle Holocaust' was absolutely disgusting. That shit is wrong.

the one, the only, August Underground’s Mordum.

Sickening. Depraved. Disturbing. Unsettling. Horrific. Disgusting. Brutal. Disconcerting. Repulsive. Upsetting. Sordid. Troubling. Nauseating. Ghastly. Filthy. Revolting. Nasty.

Needless to say, it’s pretty messed up. The August Underground movies are faux-snuff films, documenting the exploits of a group of serial killers as they maim, torture, rape, humiliate, and ultimately murder their helpless victims.

Cabin Fever had some good flesh melting scenes and... I don't know why Land of the Dead. Probably because Romero does gore so well but I would have picked Day or Dawn for the mention (although I did love the scene in Land where the zombie reaches into the victim's mouth and begins to pull stuff out).
