I've seen it and I have it in my collection.
The main talk here is of the protracted rape scene and I personally think that the fire extinguisher is one of the more graphic scenes commited to celluloid. As a film, I think Irreversible has great merit: it's a good story and telling it in reverse really makes you think. You see these normal people at the end and you know what they're headed for because you've already seen the end, at the beginning of the film. 4/5 in my book.

One of the most disturbing films I've seen. I found myself seriously considering stopping the movie during the infamous rape scene.

Just saw this movie last night - man, I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. The fire extinguisher scene is insane. Looks so real all being one shot (no edits, no cgi). If you're a fan of disturbing movies - you need to see this one.
