-ok well. let me explain. its my favorite thriller. like, suspense, not, horror. i loved it because it was, ( you gotta admit) very suspenseful, you wanted to no what was going to happen, and the action was intense. And the whole, save her dad and the hotel people was freaky too, and it had a good story behind it. I would say, favorite thriller yes, best scary movie... not quite. But, i think people just dont like the movies im into. I loved house of wax the new one. Its one of my favorites. it was great, and, my favorite.. funny scary movie, was cursed with Christina ricci. That movie was awesome.

reschedule him then!

Reschedule my ASS!

yay go gay

Sigh. Where to begin?
1.Not a horror film- Red Eye is a thriller primarily, perhaps if the politics were not so amorphous a POLITICAL thriller.
2. Not actually scary- The homeland security secretary might be murdered? Argh! This movie presents the terrifying prospect that marginally misguided, yet proactive and clever individuals intend to return us our human rights. If you want to make an omelet...this movie's political concerns are therefore frightening solely to hardcore conservatives and people who desperately want the government to know the contents of thier phonecalls. If you believe that thehomeland security secretary prevents terrorists attacks, I have a rock to sell you that keeps away Orcs and space lobsters.
Tense, yes. This woman's position is a scary one, but it is spoiled by why she's in it.
3. Easily resolved- When actually attacked, Cillian Murphy goes down like a cheerleader who needs an A in English. Too easy.
4.REALLY deceptive previews- The previews for this movie make it look like something so completely different that myself and many other moviegoers had been thoroughly decieved. If this were advertised as even remotely akin to the film it was, I don't think people would have seen it.

Cillian Murphy did some good acting, he's always great. And in regards to Wes Craven's directing, it's head and shoulders over Cursed and a lot of Wes Craven's worst efforts, but so too are Dude Where's my Car, Jason X and a 3 hr. Macrofocus on a pile of bellybutton lint. Cillian Murphy outshined the rest of a bitterly disappointing film.
