Nurse's Body Found In Trunk Of Car
Man Arrested In Connection With Woman's Death Holland Township, Michigan -- The body of a 70-year-old woman was found in the trunk of a car near her home after she failed to show up for a nursing shift at an area hospital. Ottawa County sheriff's Lt. Mark Bennett said the body of Mary Ann Kuyers was found Thursday morning, and a man was arrested in connection with her death. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday. Kuyers had lived in the home at her parents' farm her entire life and worked at Holland Hospital for more than 50 years, friends and co-workers told The Holland Sentinel. "There wasn't anything she wouldn't do, at work or personally, to help someone," said neighbor and co-worker Sandy Vanden Heuvel. "She was a wonderful neighbor and one of my best friends." Hospital spokesman Tim Breed said Kuyers worked in the hospital's behavioral unit. "She was well-liked and respected by many staff," he said. "This will surely be felt for a long time."
