Man's head explodes and reappears in a bubble

Hi. I saw this fast clip of this horror movie and I am trying to clarify what movie it was from. The clip went like this:

There is a man with dark brown straight hair in a dark suit. He is seen standing up. He puts on a "Huh?" kind of face (not a goofy happy face, but a dazed and confused straight look) and looks at the scene. His head suddenly explodes, and for a few seconds, we see his headless body standing there in the same place, as when his head just exploded. For a few smaller seconds, we see his body standing in the same location, but this time out of nowhere, the man's head is seen reappearing in a bubble, and the bubble is seen floating on the top of the body, and for a few seconds, we see the man's head floating in the bubble, of which is seen floating on the top of the body. The man's head in the bubble does not move, it just stays in the same location, and the bubble does not move, it just is seen floating on top of the body.

Does anyone know what this clip was from?

Please help. Thanks.

Okay, I just saw the clip over again, and it was somewhat different than I said. So, it may not be from "The Gate". The descripation of the clip I am telling you guys about is actually like this: instead of the man's head reappearing in a bubble, the man's head reappeared as a ghost version of his human head and was seen floating motionless above his body, it was not attached to his body after it reappeared. The rest of my descripation was correct. So, I hope this helps. Can anyone please clarify? Thank you.

The Frighteners. Not even joking this time, It's Jeffery Coombs in a scene near the end.

Is this the shot in question?

If so, which I believe it is as this is directly after his head is blown off, the movie is The Frighteners.

Yes, that's the shot. No wonder it seemed so familiar, I have heard of "The Frighteners", but I never saw it. Thanks for all your guys' help.
