Dog gets chainsawed...
Some news from my neck of the woods...in fact, I'm referring to MY dog, Loki...those of you that have seen photos and heard me raving will know that this dog is just about my favourite guy...
So, he's staying with my mother at the moment, has been for a few months now, we usually alternate who has him. My mother lives in a relatively rural area of NSW, lives with my younger brother. Their house has an open fireplace and vents, which is the only source of heating for the entire place. So, being winter...she's been going out to the bushland nearby to her town and chainsawing wood. She decided to take Loki with her...now, he's a great dog, but he's got one of those funny little manias that some dogs do...his being that he HATES anything noisy, or that moves of it's own accord, eg: remote control cars, lawnmowers...etc. Also chainsaws. Now, I dunno what the fuck my mother was thinking bringing him in the first place, not to mention not tying him up...I mean, he's ALWAYS had this weird tick with mechanical shit, and she knows this well...but still, along he came, and as she was starting up her chainsaw (she's a small woman...and like, plants her foot on it whilst starting it..which is gonna get her leg cut off one day, but all the same...), so she's starting it, looking the other way, with it on the ground. Chainsaw starts, dog attacks. So apparently he cut right through his top lip and injured his jaw quite badly, and lost a couple litres of blood, according to her, he was shaking and going into shock and everything...so, she bandages him up, and takes him home, feeds him and makes him drink. No vet visit, can you fucking believe that? I'm pissed off...because if I tell her to take him, sha'll come up with some stupid shit like "we'll just see how he goes", or try her usual INSANE trick of feeding him human meds...like antibiotics or some shit, I know it sounds funny, but it's not, it's fucked up. Bitch takes care of the other ASSHOLE dog that bites people better than she does Loki, the dog that would easily give his life to save another. It's such bullshit. If he dies, man...we're on a warpath.

That's terrible...I know how much your animals mean to you...I sincerely hope he gets better soon...
