John Carpenter Developing a Psychopath

Titan Productions, a new interactive entertainment company backed by former Tiger Hill Entertainment Co-Founder and President, Brad Foxhoven, and Creative Director, David Wohl, today announced Psychopath, an intense first person action game, in development for next generation consoles. Psychopath is a collaboration with acclaimed film director, John Carpenter, and his company, Rodeo Suplex, Inc.

Psychopath revolves around an ex-CIA operative that is called back from an early retirement to stop a serial killer, but events unfold which lead him to question his own sanity. John Carpenter will direct the cinematics, as well as oversee story and character designs in the game, and he is also attached to write and direct the film. Todd Farmer (Jason X, Scarecrow) is attached to write the game and film along with Carpenter.

"Brad and David came to me with 'Psychopath', and the concept, along with their experience and enthusiasm, made it a project I wanted to be a part of," said Carpenter. "I believe that not only can we turn this into a great game experience for the next wave of gaming consoles - but the concept is the basis of a great film."

"We had tremendous success at Tiger Hill, helping to establish John Woo as a creative force in the gaming industry. With Titan, we have expanded on this approach to include film directors such as John Carpenter, as well as other notable creators and talent within the Hollywood and gaming communities," commented Brad Foxhoven, President and Co-Founder of Titan.

"Our approach with 'Psychopath' is basically how we will be working with all of our projects at Titan, by organically integrating our concepts throughout all media to help create a lasting franchise," said David Wohl, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Titan.

Psychopath is the first of a series of deals in the coming months that reflect Titan's goal to be the main conduit for original concepts coming from the collaboration of Hollywood and video game talent.
