Sleepless

Has anybody, seen this? I just found a copy of it on DVD at Barnes and Noble for $15.00 and went ahead and bought it. Just wondering what anybodys thoughts on it are?

I also saw a copy of 'Tenebre' but it was $30...didn't know if it was worth $30...

How the fuck should I know probably!
Why? Because it's a brilliant film, it's so funny, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass!

Sleepless is good if you get it uncut.if not then it loses some points.one of the weaker Argento films too.but Tenebre on the other hand.beautiful.maybe not worth $30 but still worth buying.

a return to form for him, though not one of his best certainly better than his previous efforts. tenebrae is one of his best.

SLEEPLESS is Argento's best effort in recent years (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA?) - well cast, with some nice gore and a wicked train-scene.

I'm glad that I bought 'Sleepless' excellent movie in my opinion...

the kills we're great...the pacing was good...

only 2 flaws in my opinion...

the killing of Max Von Sydow's character

and the fact that I had already figured out who the killer was...

still an awesome movie....

I'm resurrecting this thread because Sleepless just got beaten by Identity in a movie tournament. I'm just curious, how many people have seen this flick and what did you think of it. I thought it was a beautiful return to form for Dario. Vicious murders, good old fashioned DA camera work & a new Goblin soundtrack. How can you go wrong?

I loved it. Its a way better movie than Tenebrae in my opinion. In fact, the last movie I had seen of Argento was The Phantom of the Opera, and I was a tad disappointed thinking maybe he was going down in his touch. Phantom raised by rats in the basement?? rat-catching machine for the Phantom? gee whizkers!

But he put all doubts to rest. Sleepless is an amazing little gem of a movie, with awesome cinematography, excellent kills and gore and some great background music.

It lost to Identity for the plain fact that not many have seen it, IMO.

I haven't checked it out yet. What I've read made it sound promising. Might give it a rent at some stage
