I didn't check the last few pages, so I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but the most underrated horror movie of all time is The Brood (1979). It's one of my all time favorite chillers...it's scary, psychological, twisty, and well-acted.

I can still get creeped out big time when I watch this alone in the dark.

I have a tendancy not to believe alot of Hollywood hype - and, *IF* it's true that Crawford did indeed put rocks in her pockets to make it harder for Davis to drag her, then it's Crawford who suffered, having her hair pulled alot harder and for longer!!

But either way, who cares!!! - the *scene* is fantastic! :D

To be honest, I'm not sure. I haven't seen that one.

ok, im sure not many people will agree with me, but i really liked the blair witch project. i was one of those people that heard about it way early, and was checking out the website before i saw the movie. they really made it seem real, the website especially. i saw it at some independent film theatre, and it scared the living shit out of me. for like 2 weeks, i thought it was real footage, but once it got out, it ruined it.

You should seriously check it out. Don't Look Know is really good and really cool and the sex scene between Donald Sutherland and the lovely Julie Christie has long been rumored to have been "non-simulated."

And yeah, the kids in The Brood do seem to have more than a passing resemblance to the kid in the red mack in DLK, but it's odd to think of Cronenberg as the type to reference another film - he seems so self-contained and original.
