My family is a retard redefinition. Not tryin' to rain on your parade folks, just sayin' I'm with ya. Oh, and Olivia...just another thought...you could just spend some time yknow, getting to know yourself as an individual instead of launching back into it...learn how to be "ok" on your own, and perfectly at ease, so when you enter the dating scene again so to speak, you'll have a slightly better perspective about your wants and needs. You don't need anyone to complete you (I don't know how many chicks I've said that to...), so you can always cool out for a bit, think things through, and enjoy the time alone, 'cos if the next one turns out, could be a while before you get to be "just you" again. When something's "right", by the way...age won't be such a consideration, I don't think so anyways...you'll know it, it'll come along.

Spending time alone hasn't ever been a huge problem for me....I went for a couple of YEARS being by myself because it was so nice to be alone in a new place. I think it's always hard when you're used to something and it changes, like trying to stop smoking. You know it's bad for you, but sometimes it's just so damn GOOD. Rationality isn't always a factor. Of course I know the best thing would probably be to take things slow, but at the same time there's that feeling of "Fuck him, I can do WAY better. Watch me." Hurt pride is a dangerous thing to deal with, it can make you bitter and cruel to other people just because you can.

You know, the amazing thing about being alone (in my experience, anyway) is that you really don't get that lonely. I've studied more in the last couple of years than I ever have, and I'm really proud of that. Don't get me wrong, being together with someone worthwhile is a wonderful thing. Being alone is really underated, though.
By all means, Irish, take some time off if you need. Get laid here and there, but just enjoy knowing and loving yourself. It's a great big world, and you seem like a special, level headed girl. I think after all the shit has blown over, you deserve a little me time. Hit a club, visit a museum and just be happy to be you. Life's a beautiful thing; most people who live just don't get the chance to experience it:)
