In the Cinema

I think it would feel weird to go alone. I agree with MD. Watch a DVD.

I don't usually get snacks unless whoever I'm with wants them.

When my movie is over, it's usually time to go home because the theater is closing. So I just leave.

I can't believe so many of you freaks are wierded out to go to a movie by your self, do you need to hold someones hand?

You can't watch a new film on dvd, are you saying people should not go to the cinema but find other ways to use their time. This is really cracking me up....

I usually go alone, and sit all the way in the back (as to not have anyone behind me... nothing worse than some idiot kicking your seat). Prefer it that way too. I hate having people nudge me during a "badass" scene (i.e: my brother during Batman begins), or having to share the armrest, respecting the other person's space.... blah. And, when I do decide to go to the theatre, I see 2 or 3 movies back to back (thank you, oh mighty UGC card).

I'm so glad I started this thread.

I'm not weirded out by it, I just find it pointless to go spend $10 bucks, get all duded up, just to go sit in a theater to watch a movie that will be released on DVD in 2 months.

No, you can't watch new films on DVD. But if you wait a couple of months, you can catch it then, and in the mean time, watch something you missed while it was in the theaters.

And I'm not saying they shouldn't go. Hell, I'd go by myself if they released the original Halloween back in theaters. But to go see a hit or miss film alone, it's rather uncomfortable to sit in those horrid chairs they provide you with. I'd rather stay at home in my comfortable recliner, and pause the movie when I have to go take a piss, or refill my drink and snack.

I do if it's a social/special type thing. Hanging out with friends, date, etc.

But I feel like, if I'm going to be alone, I might as well be alone, in the comfort of my own home.

I don't mind going to the cinema alone, would rather do that than miss something I want to see on the big screen. My problem with going to the movies is mainly that I have no interest in seeing most of this new stuff. It mostly looks very boring to me! Not all of it but most of it. So I'll generally just get an old video because the crap they made back then was much classier crap! Ah.....

Thats why I don't go much, but after seeing 8 movies last week dureing the film festival here, I'm a bit hooked, I wish there was more movies comeing out as interesting.

Yeah, I don't know, talking to other people at the cinema who are there by them selfs seems odd, it's more like you all just had an orgy and you don't know what to say each other because you don't know who put what where.

but often I run into hot chicks that are there by them selfs as well, it just not the time or place.. besides, I'm back on with my girl at the moment.
