This one just in - Joe Cocker
Well, I will take my hat off...

I actually met this guy when he did a trip around Australia...I was about 14? 15? at the time.
I remember it was in a small country town, we went for a dinner/drink at a local pub there - saw the signs, and actually assumed it was an impersonator or something because it was so low-key.
Nope. He and his band performed for all of about 12 people.
He came and said Hi to everyone.
Said he was surprised I knew who he was.
I said "yeah, the stripper song". Ended up buying me a beer (saying "I won't tell") and talking to my mum for a bit.
Really nice, down to earth dude...not full of himself at all.

Ah well, one of the last of 2014.

Damn... always admired the guy. He always gave 110% in everything, and didn't take himself too seriously. He even sang alongside John Belushi with Belushi doing his infamous Joe Cocker impersonation.
