I - Frankenstein.
You - sucker. I know - i know - i should have known better than to see a film made by the same people who made the vacuous Underworld series... but i thought - Aaron Eckhart - how bad can it be? I guess it would be fun for a 12 year old who's never seen anything like it before - but for anyone else - especially someone who saw those awful Turdworld films, it was a terrible waste of time. It seemed like someone told a 10 year old to rewrite vampires VS werewolves into demons vs gargoyles. The writing - especially the dialogue - was so bad it was insulting. This movie is the cinematic equivalent of a paint by numbers clown picture. A couple of very good actors horribly wasted. Uwe Boll would be proud.

Pacific Rim
It was like watching Jax play rock 'em sock 'em robots. Even Clay was there. It was a good monster movie. But I wasn't jazzed about it like I get with Godzilla.

Escape Plan.
Hm, it was ok. Little disappointed, but not entirely bad.

Pacific Rim..
Watched it at home for the first time (since seeing it in the theatre) Watched it with all the criticisms in mind - and i still don't get it - I probably enjoyed it even more the second time - appreciating the details i didn't catch first time around. this is a fun movie

What a coincidence... first time in this thread, and I just saw Pacific Rim for the first time on DVD. Bought it for $5 actually. It was awesome! It looked great. I'd say this was the best looking giant monster movie I've ever seen (and I've seen most all of them). I usually prefer any type of media for a monster over CG, but the CG monsters didn't bother me at all, they had a good organic feel within the film.
The story was fun, and there was enough depth to carry the film. I cared just enough about the characters. The story and characters were cliché and didn't have much depth, but that's OK. It was no Matrix; but I don't want to see a film with the depth of The Matrix every time anyway. Quote:
Couple interesting things from wiki about it: Quote:
