Don't know about most of those, but Amnesia certainly warrants its place there, scariest game I ever played. The sequel was released recently, its called "A Machine for Pigs", I haven't played it, but it is supposedly pretty good. I would put the Penumbra games in there, especially the first one, they are the games that the developers of Amnesia did previously. System Shock 2 would deserve a mention, although it's oldskool, back in the day that was a creepy game. I thought Alan Wake had some scary moments too. No More Room in Hell is a pretty good horror/action multiplayer game with more emphasis on horror than other multiplayer games that I have seen.

Check out the HDC official list...
http://www.horror.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58323 Nothing recently has really grabbed me, although I hear The Last of Us is intense (haven't grabbed it yet for some reason) but I can say I loved Deadly Premonition... and you probably won't. Seriously, it's a very polarizing game and when people ask me what it's like I usually tell them that it's the closest thing they'll ever see to a Twin Peaks game. The Director's Cut on the PS3 is the best version.

Is the Manhunt series included?
Got a bit of Youtube problem over here. I absolutely loved the first Manhunt. Quite sick. From what I read the creators even felt a bit icky after finishing the game. The second one is great too, too bad it got censored. I remember some of the Resident Evil games being pretty scary too. And Bioshock. |
