Anyone know how to get a book reviewed here?

Hey guys, I'm a self-published author in the UK. My third attempt at an ebook novel is currently in the top 5 of the Amazon UK Horror/Thriller chart and the top 10 of the UK Amazon Horror chart. Does anyone know how to get reviewed here on horror.com?

Happy to dish out a few free copies for any help or just if anyone is interested

You will need to PM the owner of the site, horror.

Normally I'd say to pm horror (the site owner and forum admin) as above but he hasn't logged on this forum for a year...almost exactly to the day so I doubt you would get a reply.

I've just bought this for my kindle. I'm currently reading something but you're next on the pile. I can let you know my thoughts if you want?

Well I've just finished the book.

Out of interest. How do kindle books work? Does someone sit and rewrite it or does it get uploaded as the original file?

Geek,

There are probably many ways to do it. But the way I know how to do it is to create a PDF file in Word and upload it. Not everything translates correctly between Word and Kindle. You can see it when you download it. Some more experienced people would know what to do in advance. But, myself, I tweak the original file and upload it again and again until the download from Kindle looks right. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks ntillemans, I was interested because there are some grammar/spelling errors in certain parts. I wasn't sure if it was down to another person doing the kindle stuff or whether the same errors would exist in the hard copy.

Since no one touches your file once you upload it, that's quite a stretch to pass off your poor spelling and grammar on Amazon.
