May be I'm wrong but just want to clarify...the purpose of the women of horror tournament is to find (in a democratic way/through the votes from the HDCians) the most significant/best female personality in Horror films who contributed most or best in the genre, IMO. WOH isn't a competition about Horror Hotties.

I know, but the photos being chosen are quite provocative.

Example: Vera Miles. Rather than show a head shot or photo from Psycho, a picture of her in a bathing suit sitting on a giant stick of dynamite was chosen. When the actors were being done, there was no effort made to pick more flattering pictures. I call foul.;)

I think provocative photos are there for to somewhat 'mislead' the voters, something a little psychological twist for the voters...to put in a little bit awkward position to decide whether you'd vote on the basis of the contestant's contribution/works or beauty/sex appeal.
