"Secretary" 7/10

Excellent performances from Spader and Gyllenhaal, but the story and events moved on too slowly for my taste and the ending was disappointingly mild. I had hoped the weird-ass work relationship between the two would keep escalating and finally end with something grotesque, even murder.
That was before i looked it up on IMDB to find out this was a comedy/romance... :(

The 4th Floor.

An excellent cast (Juliette Lewis, John Hurt, Shelly Duvall, Austin Pendelton) is wasted in a pedestrian "woman moves into a new apartment and is terrorized by bizarre neighbors" film.

Kind of worth a watch to see Shelly Duvall doing a later day Karen Black impression.

The ending message also pissed me off a bit.

Completely agree if you're going to make a movie out of a BDSM relationship at least include some BDSM!

Outpost - 3/10

Really not worth watching. Somebody ripped off The Keep and The Fog (the movie) and made this. The supporting actors were pretty talentless and the atmosphere was non-existent. There's little enough time to cram all the movies you wanna watch in, without wasting time on this.

AVOID!!!

Out of the Blue

No fictional horror could be scarier.

You're jaded. This is one of the most amazing true crime movies I've ever seen. The atmosphere is taught and nail-biting from the moment the shooting starts to the end.

I was particularly impressed by the honest portrayal of how this small town dealt with something completely outside its experience. The raw low-budget, almost documentary feeling also helped to honestly impart the emotions of the situation far better than a slick Hollywood approach would have.

Ahhh the Virgin Suicides. Sophia Coppola has never topped this one.

Didn't really like Black Swan as much a lot of people.

Monster Dog looks fucking awesome I'm off to check that shit out now.
