I love Romero, I really do, and I usually give him a bit of a pass on some of his stuff. Land of the Dead; universally panned but for a zombie movie it was... above average. Sure it didn't have all the trademark Romero goodness but he was handcuffed by the bigwigs in Hollywood this time right? Diary of the Dead came along, ok, no more Hollywood but with that came no budget either. Wasn't a problem in Night... but, with a unique spin on the standard zombie story I bought into it even with social commentary that was neither subtle or new. Yesterday I finally caught his new one... Survival of the Dead... I wish I hadn't. The characters were almost all weak, the story was poorly paced with a message that was spoon fed to the audience, his effects were sad (forget CG George, WE WANT SAVINI), and the atmosphere Romero generally creates was missing completely. In short: I fell asleep.

Then... NEON MANIACS

Oh Roshiq... were to begin.

In short (as always).

Exactly like "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer" this one started out very promising with good funny dialogue, good story, good pacing and a good build-up.
But the problem with both movies is the constant build-up until a disappointing ending.

For shame..

"The Descent 2" 7/10

Just like "Predators". A good entertaining sequal, but not a lot of new added to it.

A nice return of one of the characters tho.
Ooo...I see. I have no problem/complain with the ending of The Hole, it was a simple, easy and decent ending. And in compare to the original Descent, I thought that sequel is nothing but a time wasting feature which tried to destroy all the good things about the first one. Fans of the original part should avoid Descent 2.

Night of the Demons 2 (1994)

Mirrors 2 (2010)

Cherry Tree Lane (2010)

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010)

I think there was some problem in the art works or drawings of the main characters.

Home Movie (2004). Some body needs a vicious spanking. This disturbing tale of a family gone horribly south laments that the end is not going to be pleasant, and it certainly does not disappoint. To eschew those moments of stupidity, where the characters behave with retarded capacity, is one necessity of the viewer, for these parents absolutely blow it at times. The acting was top rate for such an endeavor, with exceptional performances by the children, creepy little things that they were. Adrian Pasdar was a sheer treat to watch- what a ham. There are some fun connections between the lessons of the father and how the children take note and put words into discommoding action, all to wicked effect. For those not charmed by home movie style flicks, best to stay away. As well, this was a chilling affair turned dark as black towards its end- stay away happy happy joy joy fans. As to the rest, this short little psycho-thriller might just be reason enough to get those tubes tied. Mercie beaucoup.

Virtuosity: Quite a good movie that other than the stupid 80s wardrobes has aged surprisingly well.

The Hole: Very fun movie with a great combination of scares and kids as one would expect from Dante. A bit derivative as it borrows a bit too heavily from other movies, but worth a watch nonetheless.
