Vertigo (1958). Labeled as one of Hitchcock's best, Vertigo definitely give the others a run for their money. Vertigo is simply a well crafted affair from all aspects. A hitchcockian affair, it also creates an atmosphere of originality apart from the master's other works. The story was incredible with perfectly timed twists and great dialog, all threaded together tom come together in the end. The acting was sublime, the direction perfect, and the camera work stupendous. This classic has definitely held to its reputation. Ashe.

I love the score, and the fashion, and all the Troma about it!

7/10

Evil Dead: Yet another purchase of Evil Dead. I think this is the fourth version I have. VHS, DVD, DVD metal box edition, and now Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray transfer honestly leaves a bit to be desired. It has a weird texture to it that just seems odd. I guess it's their attempt to get rid of grain maybe? But that aside, there's not too much else to say. It's Evil Dead and it rocks.

From Beyond: Classic 80s Lovecraft. It has probably been at least 15 years since I last watched this and it still holds up quite well. A bit cheesy in spots, but overall it has aged rather well.

Frozen: Shitty movie is shitty. Although I have to say I liked it better than Hatchet which I utterly hated. I know, I know. That's blasphemy around here, but Hatchet was far too cheesy and just downright far too stupid for me to enjoy at all. While Frozen was absolutely abysmal in the acting department I found it pretty tense only because I'm a snowboarder and I kept running through being in that scenario in my mind. But in the end, there's no way in hell I could recommend this one to anyone.

Planet of the Apes (Remake)

One of the better Burton films in my opion; it's not the same story like the rest.

Bound to be totally inaccurate in parts but I don't know much about the band aside from their music. They made Darby Crash out to be a less of a shit talking mess than what I've seen in interviews. I dig the Germs music but never really bought into the whole Darby Crash was a genius thing.

Kinda disappointed it didn't show how they were involved with the other bands round LA at the time.

Think I dug The Runaways more but this makes a nice companion piece to it.

The purists should just probably stick to The Decline Of Western Civilization but this was an enjoyable enough bio-pic for me.

Ahh really? I hated Hatchet but was going to check this out to see if it was an improvement. Might give it a miss by the sounds of that...
