Top Horror (Non - Traditional)

This is a list of top horror movies that didn't make it onto more conventional horror movie countdowns (AFI 100 most heart-pounding, Bravo's 100 scariest and even scarier, 101 horror movies you must see before you die, channel 4's scary list, and the two occasions that Siskel and Ebert had a non conventional horror movie in their top ten of the year.)
I also didn't count anything made in 2006 or after because the countdowns were all done before then, but I'll write a list of recent films sometime. Anyway, here it is:
Battle Royale (2000)
Shivers (1975)
The Dark Secret Of Harvest Home (1978)
Incident At Loch Ness (2004)
Picnic At Hanging Rock (1975)
The Other (1972)
Burnt Offerings (1976)
Salo, The 120 Days Of Sodom (1975)
Coma (1978)
The Last Broadcast (1998)
Ravenous (1999)
Uzumaki (2000)
Dark Water (2002)
Session 9 (2001)
The Eye (2002)
Tales From The Crypt (1972)
Rabid (1977)
Whispering Corridors (1998)
The Ninth Gate (1999)
Predator (1987)
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
The Fog (1980)
Identity (2003)
Phone (2002)
The Relic (1997)
The Mothman Prophecies (2002)
Frailty (2001)
Society (1989)
Joy Ride (2001)
Inferno (1980)
The Booth (2005)
Parents (1989)
Phenomena (1985)
R Point (2004)
Shutter (2004)
Skeleton Key (2005)
Vault Of Horror (1973)
Tenebre (1982)

I would love suggestions of other great forgotten horror. In particular, these movies that I haven't had an opportunity to see yet:
Cronos
Dead Waters
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark
Funny Games (original)
The Untold Story
Thesis
Nightwatch (original)

wow - quite a list there. A few I haven't seen and some I wouldn't want to see again but a lot of gems too. A couple of other ones I don't see mentioned too much (don't know if they are on any of those lists you mentioned) are from beyond and dead and buried. A little cheesy perhaps but lots of fun.

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark is a great movie for a made for TV flick. Really looking forward to the re-make with Katie Holmes coming in late 2010 early 2011.
