Zombieland (2009)

Yeap...it was an awesome fun trip to the Zombieland. Although both the film set on a Zombie apocalypse scenario but I don't like to compare it with Shaun of the Dead, cause both of them deals the issue quite differently than other with their own ingenious humor & creative way. The thing I most like about Zombieland is that it didn't spent time on showing too much zombie actions or attacks that we all already have a very solid idea from more than hundreds of films. It focused and progressed with its characters as they gradually developed from the beginning to the end. With its smart hilarious dialogs, Columbus' rules for survival, a surprise cameo and obviously Woody Harrelson's stand out performance as Tallahassee will remain something for the genre that we can cherish for a very long time.

Wild Strawberries (1957). An absolute gem of a movie by Ingmar Bergman. This is a gentle story about loss and regret, emotional distance and rediscovery, as seen by an elderly man as he re-examines his past on a rather introspective and extraordinary day. Victor Sjostrom plays the part of aging Professor Borg with perfection. The rest of the cast, Bergman's usuals, are just as fantasitic, with maybe a special mention going out to Ingrid Thulin's strong and compelling role. This simple story is told with brilliance, and really serves to ellucidate Bergman's genius. Ashe.

Straw Dogs
fucking Grade A film. my new favorite Hoffman performance.

Martyrs
thought it was great. It may have had a bit of a ridiculous plot to try and justify all the the torture and what not, but I thought every minute of it just worked.

Saw The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Crainquebille (1922) on the big screen.

Indeed. I am a big fan of the original and always make it a point to check it during Halloween season. Like the remake too, but not as much.

Waiting till Halloween eve to watch H I, H II and H III together back to back.
