Zombieland (2009)
Fucking. Awesome. You guys are going to love this one - best zombie flick I've seen in a very long time. I can see some folks being let down by the lack of gore, but they more than make up for it with a great cast, a witty script, and the perfect balance between hilarity and intensity. Woody Harrelson absolutely steals the show, but you've already seen most of his best moments in the trailers. I was actually really impressed with Jesse Eisenberg...he gets a little annoying when he slips into his Michael Cera-style "lovable awkwardness" mode, but he actually manages to pull off some fairly touching moments. There's also a certain cameo appearance part way through that had me laughing my ass off - it's a pretty poorly kept secret, but if you don't already know who shows up I'd advise going in blind, just so you can get the same effect :) Can't wait to hear what the rest of you think. I'd recommend this one to just about all of you zombie fans - don't go in looking for buckets of gore, because if you do you'll be disappointed. But if you go in looking for some big laughs, really cool set pieces and maybe a few surprises, you should have a blast.

Hills Run Red
Films about films always bother me... they just seem self-indulgent. That said, this film totally satisfied me. The pacing and story are a bit off in the first two acts, but the finale rules and more than makes up for any of the film's shortcomings. A solid slasher with a great killer and an even more demented svengali.

Richard Speck: Chicago Massacre
Parker Lewis on a bit of a rampage :) This wasn't to bad I dig these killer biopics, it had a good balance of the investigation/the killer's activities. Still waiting for one of these to top Ted Bundy or The Hillside Strangler. Tony Todd made an apperance and Andrew Divoff was pretty solid.

Wonder Woman
The DTV from earlier this year. I was never really interested in Wonder Woman, but this was great. I think I even preferred it over First Flight and Public Enemies.

Iphigenia (1977)
A very well produced and incredibly powerful interpretation of the classic Greek tragedy. I can't even imagine how challenging it must have been to adapt an ancient Greek play and still give it this much effect on modern audiences, but somehow they manage to create incredible tension and bring these mythic characters to life with grace and strength. Very, very impressed. Alky, _V_, Roshiq, Geddy, Fortunato, Doc - any of you guys seen this? If not, give it a look. Might need to brush up on your ancient Greek culture first as some elements wont really make sense otherwise, but I think you would really appreciate this one.

Zombieland was so so good. Like Return said, it's highly recommended. Funny, witty, touching. The cameo was hilarious. The comedy does go beyond what happens in the trailer, so don't expect that you've already seen all the good bits.
Sneak some Twinkies in in your coat pockets, enjoy the movie and stay til after the credits roll for another laugh or two.
