I thought he was great, one of my favorites. VERY sad news for me...

I'm glad that a man cleared of charges can still be bashed all the time. Guilty until proven innocent right?

That applies with everything. If not, people would not be arrested, and then put on trial.

Yes they would because arrested doesn't mean tried and prosecuted.

Dork.

All I know is that if a crime that heinous really happened and it only took money to keep it quiet then those parents should all be shot. Money can quickly silence people making false claims and then you avoid a lot of BS but I would think most parents couldn't put a price on letting somebody get away with that.

Maybe it was just so they would fuck off and leave him alone.
I mean I know he turned into quite the weirdo over the last 15 years, and I think his fascination with children was perhaps a little inappropriate from what the media has shown us, but I have to say that some of the cases against him were probably "taking that and running with it".
Not saying what he did or didn't, just that a lot of times people can make one thing out of another and then it can kind've avalanche, and yeah, I think that if a person had as many finances available to them as MJ probably did at a point, paying people that are going to drag you through the mud and into court time and again might've been something of an easier option...guilty, or not.

For me, MJ was the "music I grew up with" being born in the early 80's.
Didn't much like his post mid-90's stuff, and yeah even if you don't look at the court cases and allegations against him he did become one weird character, and was the posterboy for "parental abuse case" more than likely what made him slowly turn into the creature he became.
Listening to his songs of old, I will feel a pang of remorse that the musical force beside them is no longer of this earth.
RI(finally, hopefully)P

Farrah Fawcett, nice looking chick in her day but never much watched a great deal of things with her in it. Charlies Angels was pretty fun from what I saw of it, so fun show, good looking chick, gotta respect that.
RIP too.

In other news, I found my rat dead this morning...sharing her deathday with the aforementioned.
R.I.P little one, I will miss you being around :(

So...I noticed there's now rumours about Jeff Goldblum? Apparently they're being denied at this time though.

Whatever or whoever the person was behind the scenes, he was a well and true complete entertainer (THE icon) on the stage and on-screen. Most of his 80s-90s stuff was what I used to gape at throughout my childhood years, and I m not hesitant to admit it that I found the man extremely talented in terms of singing AND dance.

R.I.P. Michael.

This is weirding me out a little since we were the same age. I still remember the first time I saw the Jackson Five on TV. I believe it was the Ed Sullivan Show, and being mezmerised (sp?) by Michael's voice and the choreography. Throughout the years I always enjoyed Michael's music. Thriller is still my favorite album of his and my favorite video of his (of course). In later years, he got very weird - I will never understand why he had to change his appearance, he was a handsome guy - but I still enjoyed his music.

Rest in peace, Michael. I hope you have the peace you were always looking for.

From what I read about his childhood, I think the emotional scars he received back then from his father's constant abuse never really healed, but only got worse with age. His eccentric behaviour and odd lifestyle might be attributed to that.

The man was a music genius, no question...and usually geniuses are somewhat eccentric. So that could be a reason too.

And then there were the cases of the broken nose and burning hair and vitiligo. So many factors which added to the complexity of his persona.

Goodbye to a strange little man. He was the Elvis of the 80's - I wonder if there will be Jackson impersonators the way there are Elvis impersonators?

For the record I don't think he did those kids. False molestation accusations are not uncommon.

Firefighters are trained EMT's, it's very useful since they often have to deal with injured people during fires, and when there isn't a fire they can respond to ordinary medical emergencies.
