The Beast of War (1988)

Pretty good movie, it's about a Russian tank being chased through a valley in Afganastan, after the tank kills some certain people in un-godly fassion, some family memebers and others from the village hunt it down. Worth checking out.

7/10

Night of the Living dead (1990)

I like the fact that Barbarra is a bad ass in this one.

6.5/10

Friday the 13th (09) - It was a slasher flick. Drinking, smoking, fucking, and dieing... nothing we haven't seen before but something that just doesn't get old. This does mark one of the few times I've been to the theater and wanted to see EVERY movie previewed...

MANIAC

Some great Savini effects work in this one. The setup for the shotgun effect was very well done.

Quality film, thought it was a great performance by Joe Spinell.

I confess to pausing the dvd to have a proper butchers at that scene you're on about

haha....I did the same thing. I do that a lot on these older movies that use practical effects......see where they put the dummy head or whatever in.

"Psycho II"

While not as great as the classic original. I have to admit I have a fondness for this film, It's well made, respectful of the original and has some good suspense.

American Beauty, followed by Scent of a Woman.

The latter is easily one of my all-time favs, with Pacino in the form of his lifetime. From the opening music to the climactic sequence...exquisite.

And Gabrielle Anwar...boy is she a dish!

its good. a few scenes were a little uncomfortable for me, i thought it would focus much more on the political aspect's of his life rather than the relationship ones, it was about 50/50 in that regard.
Brolin steals every scene btw.
