Brilliant. I'm always jealous of Kaufman's writing.
I watched this recently as well. Amazing. Cage is brilliant. I love seeing him in these character parts much more than his action hero stuff.

Yeah, it just goes to show that he really can act, depending on who he's working with. (ex. Scorsese, in Bringing Out the Dead; Coen Brothers, in Raising Arizona)

Completely agree with you. Cage is an actor of enormous potentials, it's really sad to see him in films like Next, Bangkok Dangerous and Ghost Riders. There are lots of actors out there to play the roles of this movies.

Ghost of the Needle (2003)

Jake's Closet (2007)

Enough of B-grade & C-grade movies, tonight I need to see some good movies.

I'm pretty keen to check that one out myself. Sounds like a return to form for Gus Van Sant

The Zombie Diaries

At first it seemed a lot more grity and evil than most of the other handcam horror movies that came out last year but then it got dull fairly quick. It picked up a bit towards the end, but there was just a lot of time where nothing happened and some dumb script writing.

4/10

Balls of Fury

Hu hu ha. Yeah, it was pretty funny, good slapstick, they didn't over do it, just the right amount.

6.5/10

I'm going to see his new film on Saturday, " Synedoche, New York" , it's also his debut in the director chair. I'm really looking forward to it, It's showing at the film festival here in Glasgow.

Watched "There Will Be Blood" for the first time. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about seeing this one.......sure I heard great things about it but the thought of a movie about "oil" kinda bored me. I could never have been so far off.....of course without Daniel Day Lewis's performance [ Oscar well deserved] this could have been a different story. The newcomer who played the preacher should have been nominated as well.

The Lookout : good movie - kept me watching. man does that kid look like heath ledger

Take the Lead : enjoyed this far more than i expected. Antonio Bandaras delivers as only this guy can (i think he's one of the most underappreciated actors ever) good supporting cast as well. 'to sir with love' storyline made more palletable by the fact that it was based on a real person.
