I hadn't any plan to watch Danish Horror; I didn't even know that this is a Danish Horror film. I just bought the Ghost House Underground collection few days back and last night I gave it a watch cause there were only 2 films left out of 8. Anyways, I like to appreciate for their effort cause at least they are trying to produce something 'Horror'... I think which is better than doing nothing for the genre.:)

I don't agree. There's no talented horror directors in denmark and the danish movie industry has far too small a budget to give happy directors a chance who would like to make a horror movie, but doesn't have a clue how it's pulled off. The last 3 decades have proven that horror is something the danish movie industry should stay the hell away from. We have talented directors in other genres, that works much much better, who could use the money. The only danish "horror" exception may be "Mørke". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432972/

I mean, you know me neverending, I have no problem with slow moving films, indies, art house, etc. I'll watch and love everything. But I don't know if I've ever seen a movie that was so, IMO, pretentious, ever.

Life Aquatic is weirdly enough one of my fav films, i love murrey, wilson etc and so far the director hasnt done a film i disliked, but i love those awkward off the wall, oddball comedies that he comes up with.
Last seen film was The Last Winter(2007) - saw it again last nite and it really is a atmospheric and beautiful film; reminds me of The Thing and a touch of Pitch Black in there as well. |

BUT I've gone through the whole rant before - my post was meant more as a joke than anything, heh.
