Glad to hear it! It's a good one.

So...got any more recommendations to make me feel bad about not having seen?

I mean, now that I've got around to Clockwork Orange, Raging Bull AND French Connection, you're running out of ammo :p

The Prestige: Not a big fan of magic whatsoever. Saying that, this movie was definitely quality stuff. 8.5/10.

Check and double-check.

Chinatown is a favourite for sure...been way too long since I've watched it though.

Taxi Driver was actually a bit of a let-down...I think my expectations were just too high. I really need to give it another go.

Keep trying

Never Mind.

If Taxi Driver was a let down, I got nothing to recommend to you.

I never said it wasn't good, just not as good as I had expected - at least I'm willing to give it another shot, right? :)

Definitely give it another try. Seriously.
Try watching it alone, late at night in a dark room. Don't watch anything else on that day.

Try it again and let us know.

Santa Sangre (1989)
I don't think this one could ever get old; if nothing else, on spectacle alone.
I showed it to a couple of friends that had never seen it before. Needless to say they were amazed.

Here are a couple bonafied must-sees off the top of my head.

-Contempt (Le Mepris)

-Seven Samurai

-The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoise

-Sunrise

-Apocalypse Now

-City Lights

...and, after dropping by the Villians tournament...

-The Third Man
