Do you think we can tentatively call this list complete?
Naw definally a lot more - off the top of my head (theres a lot of shit shot on video stuff that i can't remember the titles for):

Hillside Cannibals - Leigh Scott 2006

Monster Man - Michael Davis - 2003

Skinned Deep - Gabriel Bartalos - 2004

Eden Lake - James Watkins - 2008 (not seen this yet but sounds the part)

Frontier(s) - Xavier Gens - 2007

Mothers Day - Charles Kaufman - 1980

Barn of the Naked Dead - Alan Rudolph - 1974

Tourist Trap - David Schmoeller - 179 (some supernatural but its basic is in the genre)

Motel Hell - Kevin Connor - 1980 (remake on the way)

Slaughter House - Rick Roessler - 1987

Backwoods - 1987 (not seen this)

Questionable:

Hostel

Live Feed (neither are really truely rural are they?)

Roadkill: The Last Days of John Martin

Ils

The Locals (its got supernatural elements)

Final Terror - Andrew Davis - 1982 (prolly more slasher but has a lot of elements).

Luther the Geek (can't remember if he kill out of towners)

More descendents...

Thanks for the list Ferox, I'll be checking those out and adding them to the list shortly.

Papillon Noir - The Backwoods (Serra, 2006) was incredible all the way through, though I'm not sure how to regard the ending. Has anyone else seen this film? It fits the classic Urbanoia mold, but the ending was highly ambiguous. A comment on cultural difference? I don't know.
