Need help getting the name of some TV Shows

Hi Everyone!

Just recently i have been trying to remember all the cool Horror/Sci-Fi Tv shows i watched during the 1990's . 2 Come to mind which would be awesome if i can remember their names to hunt them down and see if their available on DVD, as it be cool to get a hold of some cool shows i watched while i was a kid.

heres a list with some vague bits i remember of each hopefully enough for someone to help me out with getting the names of these shows.


1. I don't remember much of this show but some vague details of it, it must of been on Tv early 1990's between 1990-1995. It had some sort of creepy looking lion that talked again i'm not sure if it was a Lion it could just of been some big Hairy creature the creature was white in color. Its nose was very weird looking i think this creature introduced stories and then the story would start it would end with this creature finishing the story or adding final thoughts of some sort it had a creepy feel to it. The stories were quiet scary i remember getting a little scared with them. i also remember it was on after the Muppet show i remember only turning the Tv on to watch this creepy show and watch the last minutes of the muppet show to get the start of this Show it lasted about 30 minutes but then i might be wrong. Any help would be greatly Appreciated on this one.


2. The other Show i need some help on was on Tv around the same time as the show American Gothic same year i think i might be wrong. This Show had a very dark feel to it from what i remember. It was about some sort of Virus that was spreading. I remember seeing some sort of scene were someone crosses to this other realm were these little people lived they wore robes that looked like the Jedi robes with the hood on. I remember that when they crossed to this realm you could hear whispering which apparently came from these weird people that lived in this realm. I think the virus was created by these people, so i think the virus might have been ancient or something. Each episode lasted about 30 minutes again i might be wrong. If i'm not mistaken it was also on around the same year that show sliders was on. Any help would be super on identifying the name of this show thanks.

The first one sounds like either "tales from the crypt" or "The storyteller" which is a little older.

No lion look-alikes tho.

The second one kind of makes me think of Phantasm. I don't think there was a virus though.

It WAS The Storyteller. The big white thing was a dog.

Thanks for that guys yep i did a Google search and came up with characters i remember seeing, awesome any clues on the second TV show ? thanks for the quick response on the 1st one!
