Question More Brit Horror Flics please

I haven't seen a decent UK based horror since Dog Soldiers which was fantastic. Just the right mix of horror, humour and plot twists. Loved it.

If any one can recommend any other UK horrors I'd be interested to hear about them. As a UK resident I appreciate settings which are 'believable' within my context. The Ring, Silent Hill, The Shining and Evil Dead are all fantastic films, but not believable to me because of their accents and locations.

I'm not saying that all horror films should be UK based, just more of them please :-D

Not believable because of accents and locations? Are you actually saying you can only believe what you see and hear everyday and everything else is simply artiface? Are the rest of the citizens of the world simply imaginary to you?

You might want to try using your imagination.

anyway, you might enjoy...

The Descent
Doomsday
Severance
Creep

Check out some of their earlier stuff too - Pete Walker made some great stuff back in the 70s.

mmm

Such an aggressive reply to such a simple question, tut!

I was attempting to communicate (obviously not very effectively!) that I can relate to a group of Brits running about in Britain because, wait for it, I'm British.

I was in no way indicating that I can't believe, or don't enjoy, any foreign films, just that I can believe UK films easier, because, as I may have mentioned, I'm British.

It's a good job I dont have an imagination to get in the way of my enjoyment eh...

Thanks for the suggestions from the more allowing members of the community :-)

You find Dog Soldiers believable, but not The Ring or The Shining?

I don't get it??

I woud suggest something like The Hitcher, Silence of the lambs and Se7ven. Not quite horror, but believable. ;)
