Question Prom Night {remake}

to me prom night was just ok for me. i like the original better. i dont like a movie that u know who the killer is at the beginning.i like it when u dont know until the very end, or u dont know at all. i like to keep guessing:confused:

I thought the remake was god awful. It was hardly the same movie at all. And I agree that when you know who the killer is right off the bat you lose a lot of the suspense. I thought the original had its own set of flaws (I felt the effects and kill scenes were weak), but at least it had a somewhat interesting storyline, and much better actors.

Didn't bother checking it out at the theatres over here. I'll give it a spin when it hits the video store. Not going into it expecting much...

I saw the original and I don't want to ruin it by watching a horrid remake you know? Plus, I know we true horror fans were going to hate it! Oh, nice tid bit about myself: My mom ruined the ending of this film for me; she said "didn't the -bleep- do it?" and my dad's like "you just had to ruin it for her didn't you?"

Oh, about the original: Uh, was John Carpenter in any way involved with the original? My dad seems to think so, but I haven't seen his name in any of the credits so...

Nope. It did star Jamie Lee Curtis so maybe he's mixed up by that?
