who has a projector?
the bulb is burning out and I need to replace it, but I'm not sure of where to buy one.
The projector is a Mitsubishi HD1000U I looked on ebay and found one (from japan) for 288$ but after shipping (24$) duties (probably atleast 50$) I've never used ebay though, so I'm suspicious even though the "store" has like 997 positive feedback. also a place in canada would be the best. :)

I have bought several things such as my camcorder and my computer from eBay. They do a pretty good job with security and all that jazz when it comes to the safety of your items you purchase.

I have a projector.
the bulbs are crazy expensive ... we use a company that specializes in bulbs/lamps ..i'll check on their price when i get back to work. also i did a google search with : canada projector Mitsubishi HD1000U replacement lamp price and found a few ... one was $350 so $288 looks like a decent price I'd be a bit nervous spending that much money for something like this overseas as well.

How old is the projector?
The bulb is the crucial component which is pretty damn expensive...if the projector has gone for at least a good 4-5 years, I suggest buying a new one. The prices have come down a fair bit in the past year or so.

i used to go out with a girl who kept projecting things onto me - mainly issues from her family - but i never tried to replace her bulb
