Odds or Evens?
I know this may sound totally wacked, but over at lunch yesterday some of my colleages and me were discussing stuff and the convo turned into our personalities and their peculiar traits.
Then someone asked, "Do you prefer odd numbers or even numbers? Like the number of pages of a book you read at a time, the dates which you consider lucky, the number of grapes you eat, etc. etc., you get the drift." This got all of us thinking, and some commented that they preferred the even stevens. Others, including me, went with the odd #s. There is something striking about an odd number which is unique (like some odd numbers not divisible by any other number other than themselves or 1), so I went over my habitual actions too. Normally when reading a book, I make it a point to finish a chapter at least. If its a long chapter, I have usually stopped at an odd-numbered page. The tyre pressure of my car's tyres is an odd number. I have 3 pets at my home, 7 tattoos, 5 pieces of art adorning the walls of my bedroom, the number of my DVDs is usually an odd number, etc. More often than not, I usually prefer to log out of HDC when my posts are odd-numbered. It was a queer coincidence at first, but lately I ve been favoring it consciously too. I know this might sound odd (and some of you might deem me odd), but now the poser stands for you. Think it over carefully.

I know it sounds kinda wacked, but trust me, think back carefully. You will find several (yes, more than one) examples of this in your daily stuff too. Most guys I know are leaning towards the even #s. Some of em don't bother, or don't care about their preferences. I d say its 70% even leaners, 25% don't-care ones, and 5% odd leaners.

There we go.
See? Its perfectly normal to go with an odd number, or an even number. I have been kinda partial to 7 myself. And 7 has popped in my life on several occasions. Such as, 25th being my birthday, and 2 + 5 = 7, 1983, year I was born, 1 + 9 + 8 + 3 = 21 (multiple of 7), My first name has 7 alphabets in it, and so does my last name. 7 tattoos on my body as already mentioned, Marks scored in first high-school exam 420/600, which is 70%. ...plenty of more such examples I can cite.

No preference for me, but I do have to stop the gas pump at a whole number be it odd or even.

I don't know if I specifically pick odd or even numbers, but 3 is definitely my number and I do like things that are asymmetrical.
The number 3 became my lucky number as a kid, because I remember the first time I ever won something and it was at this birthday party where they had door prizes and I picked 3 and won. Though whenever I take a photo, I always think of the rule of thirds. When I was in vegas I played number 3 in roulette, which hit twice in a row, skipped a round and then hit a third time, causing me to win a few hundred dollars. I've owned three cars in my life. I've moved three places in the last three years. There are 9 letters in my first name and 6 letters in my last name, both divisible by 3. I was an only child growing up with both my parents, so there were 3 of us. I was born in 1980, so 1+9+8+0=18, which 18/3=6, which 6/3=3. That's all I can think of now. Creepy :)
